In February 2009, a conference for SIPs working in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and LA Strategic Leads was scheduled to hear a keynote speech from Sir Alan Steer, the Government's adviser on pupil behaviour. Owing to cancellation, Sir Alan gave a video interview instead, during which he was asked about a review of the Children's Plan, his views on behaviour, and the role of PRUs.
