Over 77 per cent of schools have managed to return their autumn end data.

The first year of the Every Child a Writer pilot has now been successfully completed with nine local authorities (LAs) having taken part. As a result, all LAs have seen a significant impact on attainment and rates of progress in writing within the targeted schools.

This year has seen the production of the Every Child a Writer support materials. Including video clips showing writing lessons and tuition sessions, as well as interviews with headteachers, class teachers, leading teachers, tutors and parents, there is also a wealth of materials and case studies to dip into to find out what others in the programme have done and how ECaW has worked in different settings.
